QUIET CONFIDENCE AT THE START OF 2021

Here in Gavi, a snowfall at the beginning of 2021 turned the countryside into a magical silent landscape.

Snow is not a concern in areas like Piedmont where cold, even sub-zero temperatures are a regular occurrence: the growth of the vines during the year is more likely to suffer damage from excessive rain or drought, whereas snow does not usually pose a serious threat. In January, moreover, the vines are normally “dormant”, indifferent to freezing weather.

Inspired by the gently falling snowflakes, which also purify the air and help get rid of bacteria, we look forward confidently to the year ahead: happy 2021 everyone!
